About

My work is centered around distributed systems, ranging from the design and analysis of algorithms for reliable and efficient distributed systems despite failures and malicious behaviour to complex network analysis.

In 2019 I joined DFINITY to realize the vision of the Internet Computer, a decentralized computing platform. Before, I was a Principal Scientist at ABB Corporate Research, Switzerland, working on questions in distributed computing and networking, with a focus on their application to automation and power grids. I received my PhD from the Distributed Computing Group (Prof. Roger Wattenhofer) at ETH Zurich in 2009. Inbetween, I've been working at IBM Research, Zurich and at the Ben Gurion University Be'er Sheva, Israel.
